USA Advances to Round of 16 in FIFA World Cup 2026 After Defeating Bosnia and Herzegovina

However, Balogun, who became a hero by scoring, became a villain in the second half. In the 64th minute, he received a red card after fouling Bosnia's defender Tarik Muharemovic. This was the 12th red card in this World Cup, which is three times more than the Qatar World Cup of 2022.

Malik Tillman scored in the 82nd minute for USA, which was limited to 10 players, ensuring the team's victory. This is the first time USA has won a knockout game since 2002.

The team will now face Belgium in the final 16. The energetic American team, led by coach Mauricio Pochettino, reached this stage by winning Group 'D'.
