USA Leads Bosnia 1-0 in FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifier

San Francisco. Co-host of the FIFA World Cup 2026, the USA is facing Bosnia and Herzegovina with the aim of making a strong presence in the knockout stage.

USA has taken a 1-0 lead in the first half of the ongoing match at the San Francisco Bay Area Stadium. Folarin Balogun scored in the final moments of the first half, giving the team the lead.

Malik Tillman attempted to provide a pass to Balogun on the right side of the box, but the ball slipped past the defender and another player, reaching Balogun in the middle of the D-area. Balogun converted it into a goal by shooting it under goalkeeper Nikola Vasilj.

This is his third goal in the competition, and with it, the USA managed to break through Bosnia's strong defense just before the end of the first half and take the lead at the right time.

The energetic American team, led by coach Mauricio Pochettino, has reached this stage by winning Group 'D'. On the other hand, Bosnia and Herzegovina, captained and coached by Sergej Barbarez, has already made history by reaching the final 32 for the first time as a team that achieved an excellent third place.
