Youth Dies in Hit-and-Run Accident on East-West Highway in Nawalparasi

Nawalparasi. A youth has died after being hit by an unidentified vehicle on the East-West Highway in Kharakatta Jungle, Kawasoti Municipality-8, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East).

According to the District Police Office, Nawalparasi (East), a vehicle with an unknown number plate hit Til Bahadur Rana Magar, 23, a resident of Hupsekot Rural Municipality-5, last night.

After the accident, he was found seriously injured and was rescued by a traffic police team and immediately taken to Madhyabindu Provincial Hospital, Danda, for treatment. Rana Magar, who sustained serious injuries to his head and forehead, was referred to the Old Medical College in Bharatpur for further treatment.

The doctor declared him dead this morning during treatment, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Yuvraj Khadka of the District Police Office Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East). Police said that a search is on for the unidentified vehicle involved in the accident and further investigation into the incident is underway.
