NEPSE Index Falls 24.63 Points, Reaching 2608.33

Kathmandu. On the second day of the week, Tuesday, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index saw a decline. Today, the NEPSE index has decreased by 24.63 points and reached 2608.33 points.

Today, in the market, shares of a total of 365 companies, amounting to 8.737392 million shares, were bought and sold 79,286 times. From this, a total transaction of Rs 3.258758014 billion has occurred.

Of the companies traded today, the share price of only 35 companies increased, while the price of 235 companies decreased. The price of 5 companies remained stable.

Despite the market decline, the share price of some companies has surged. Today, the biggest gainer is Snow River Limited, whose share price increased by 14.99 percent to reach 454.20.

Collectively, all indices have declined today. The trading group saw the largest decline of 1.74 percent.

Similarly, the price of Corporate Development Bank increased by 13.04 percent and the price of Swabhimaan Laghubitta increased by 10.80 percent. Taksar Pikhhuwa Khola Hydropower, however, decreased the most by 14.03 percent.

Based on transaction amount, Siddhartha Bank remained at the top today. More than Rs 133.9 million worth of shares of this company were traded. Similarly, Taksar Pikhhuwa Khola Hydropower had a share transaction of Rs 113.2 million, and Aakhu Khola Jalvidyut had a share transaction of Rs 98.9 million.
