Comedian Samay Raina Faces Backlash for Controversial Remark on India's Got Talent

Mumbai. Indian comedian Samay Raina has once again been embroiled in controversy with the second season of his show 'India's Got Talent'. There is a strong protest on social media regarding a comment made by Samay towards a young woman in the second episode of the second season. 

This comment is similar to an incident a while ago where comedian Praneet More got into trouble, due to which a complaint was also filed against Praneet.

Recently, a video clip related to the second episode of India's Got Talent Season 2 has gone viral. In the video, Samay Raina is seen giving a score to a contestant, while a young woman who came to watch the show is seen crying and leaving.  

After the young woman left, Samay asked the young man who came with her the reason for leaving, even though the young man was sitting very comfortably. When Samay asked with a lot of pressure, the young man informed that his friend's father had a heart attack.

Upon hearing such a sensitive health condition, Samay told the young man, 'You also go with her, give her a shoulder. Only if you give a shoulder will she give a 'head' (word with obscene meaning).' This statement by Samay Raina, made at a time of sensitive health condition, is going viral rapidly on social media. Many people are strongly condemning his actions.

After the viral video clip surfaced, Shiv Sena leader Priyanka Chaturvedi expressed strong anger. She wrote on social media, 'They have learned no lesson. Now even Netflix and YouTube have joined in to show such cheap and woman-insulting content in the name of humor. Now I am waiting for those GenZ fans who will start creating a ruckus in my comment box.'

Earlier, stand-up comedian Praneet More had also got into trouble when he shared a clip from a live show in Gurugram. In that clip, a young man named Himanshu Jangra had said that a woman he was dating made him eat biryani worth 370 rupees, but the woman did not get physically close and left. In the show, Praneet had commented that the 370 rupees could not be recovered.  

After the video went viral, Himanshu was fired from his job, and a complaint was filed against Praneet More in the cyber cell. As the controversy escalated, Praneet publicly apologized.

In the first episode of Samay Raina's show 'India's Got Talent 2', actresses Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh appeared as guests. During the episode, Samay Raina and Alia Bhatt roasted each other with jokes.  

In the show, Samay welcomed Alia by saying that he could not believe that Alia had come as a guest in the first episode. At this, Alia said laughingly, 'I am regretting it a little now.'
