2,438 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours, Rs. 2.07 Million Revenue Collected

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, two thousand 438 drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules. Rs. 2.07 million has been deposited into the state treasury from this.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, action has been taken against 85 for driving under the influence of alcohol, 130 for illegal 'ride sharing', 123 for signal light violations, and 160 for speeding.

Similarly, 122 were penalized for not following 'lane' discipline, 88 for honking in prohibited areas, three for operating vehicles under the influence of narcotics, 27 vehicles for emitting more smoke than the prescribed standards, and one thousand 700 people for not following other traffic rules.
