Woman Dies After Being Beaten by Husband in Gulmi

Gulmi. A woman has died from beating by her husband in Isma Rural Municipality of Gulmi. According to the District Police Office, Gulmi, 41-year-old Yambahadur Kumal of Ratamata, Isma Rural Municipality-5, attacked his 37-year-old wife Muna Kumal with a wooden plank after consuming alcohol.

Muna, who was unconscious with serious injuries on various parts of her body from the beating, was rescued by a team dispatched from Dharnaje Police Post upon receiving information and was taken to the District Hospital Tamghas for treatment. The doctor declared her dead on Wednesday morning during the course of treatment.

Police have taken Yambahadur Kumal, involved in the incident, under control. Police Inspector Vivek Ghale has been assigned to lead an investigation team from the District Police Office, Gulmi, for further investigation into the incident, informed Bhimkiran Bogati, Chief of the District Police Office, Gulmi.
