Biopic Film 'Madankrishna' Announced, Mahesh Tripathi to Play Lead Role

Kathmandu. A biopic film 'Madankrishna' based on the biography of senior artist Madan Krishna Shrestha has been announced. The biopic film 'Madankrishna' was announced today in Kathmandu at a grand ceremony.

The formal launch of the film was jointly done by Madan Krishna and his well-wisher artist Haribansha Acharya. The biopic cinema 'Madankrishna' will be made by including the joys and sorrows of Madan Krishna's life, his entire life's struggles, and ups and downs.

Milan Chams will direct the biopic 'Madankrishna'. Milan Chams is considered an excellent director in making biopics. He made the film 'Anjila' last year, which was a biopic of Anjila Tumbappe, the goalkeeper and captain of the national football team. This film was a superhit at the box office. It was also critically successful.

Milan also directed the biopics 'Bobby' and 'Blind Rocks', which garnered good attention. Therefore, Milan is considered a skilled and experienced director for making biopics.

This is the first time a biopic of a Nepali actor is being made. Although biopics of people from other fields have been made, a biopic of a Nepali actor has not been made so far. Among artists in general, the biopic 'Acharya' of singer Bhaktaraj Acharya was made.

Actor Mahesh Tripathi will play the role of Madan Krishna in Madan Krishna's biopic. Keki Adhikari will be seen in the lead role of this biopic. She will play the role of Madan Krishna's wife, Yashoda.

Madan Krishna's childhood, government job life, collaboration with Haribansha, inter-caste marriage, etc., will be included in the biopic. Rajaram Poudel, Kiran KC, Rusha Neupane, Yaman Shrestha, and Deshbhakta Khanal will also act in the film.

It has not been revealed who will play the role of Haribansha, Madan Krishna's artistic partner, in this film.

The announcement of the film's production was made with Dhimay Baja welcoming Madan Krishna. Madan Krishna was overwhelmed with emotion as he was congratulated and wished well with garlands and khadas. Sitting next to Haribansha Acharya, he could not hold back his tears. Haribansha wished him luck for the biopic.

At the program, 76-year-old senior artist Madan Krishna expressed his happiness about the biopic cinema being made on him. 'I am very happy. The audience will get to know more closely about my life,' he said. He also mentioned that Haribansha Acharya played an important role in his success.

Similarly, senior artist Haribansha Acharya said that the making of Madan Krishna's biopic is a matter of pride for him as well. He described director Milan Chams as a courageous and energetic director in the Nepali film industry and expressed confidence that the film would present the story in a just manner.

'The main captain of the film is the director himself. Milan Chams is a very brave and energetic director in the Nepali film industry. I believe he can do justice to this serious and important story,' he said.

Acharya also congratulated Madan Krishna Shrestha's family and expressed the hope that this film would be established as a meaningful and memorable work in the Nepali film industry.

Likewise, speaking at the program, Chairman of the Film Development Board, Dinesh DC, mentioned that Madan Krishna Shrestha and Haribansha Acharya are highly respected personalities in the Nepali art sector. He said that making a biopic is a challenging task in itself and that the artists and makeup team will also have to work hard.

'The personalities whom the Nepali art world always respects and bows down to are Madan Krishna Shrestha and Haribansha Acharya. Making a biopic is a challenging task in itself. It will be difficult for the makeup artists as well as the actors,' he said.

He also expressed confidence that the film, to be made under the leadership of director Milan Chams, will prove to be another milestone for the Nepali film industry. Singer Ani Choying recited Swasti Vachan at the program. Earlier this morning, the production team visited the Pashupatinath temple and performed puja.

The biopic 'Madankrishna', presented by Vintage Motion Pictures, will be produced by Rajkumar Shrestha. Being a popular artist, the biopic of Madan Krishna is certain to be anticipated.

The story and screenplay of the film have been written by Yam Thapa. Padam Bahadur Shrestha (Babu Shrestha) is the DOP, Milan Shrestha is the editor, Alish Karki is the background music composer, and Bharat Kandel is the sound designer.

The shooting of this film, which will start from the second week of Bhadra, will be distributed by Rich Entertainment, Apple Entertainment, and F.D. Company. The digital partner is 'OSR Digital'.
