JCB Assistant Dies in Tipper Accident

Kavrebhanjyang. An assistant of the JCB equipment used for loading sand died after being crushed by two tippers in the Betini riverbed of Mandandeupur Municipality-12, Thulibesi, last night.

Assistant driver 19-year-old Devendra Tamang, a resident of Hokshe, Panchkhal Municipality-8, died when he was crushed between a tipper numbered B4KHA 9825, on which he was loading sand, and another tipper numbered B4KHA 9909, which was parked in the same location, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabin Bisht of the District Police Office.

According to him, one of the tipper drivers has absconded after the incident, while the other driver is in police custody. Bisht stated that an investigation into the incident is underway.
