Ecuador and Curacao Tied 0-0 at Halftime in FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifier

Kathmandu. The first half of the match between Ecuador and Curacao in Group 'E' of the FIFA World Cup 2026 has ended in a goalless draw.

In the match taking place at the Kansas City Stadium, Ecuador created pressure in ball control and attack but could not score. It created some good opportunities in the first half.

Curacao goalkeeper Eloy Room made an excellent save in the 42nd minute from a shot by John Yeboah, saving his team from falling behind. Similarly, Ecuador attacked continuously but could not penetrate Curacao's defense.

In the 38th minute of the match, Ecuador's J Jordy Alcibar received a yellow card, and a minute later, Curacao's Leandro Bacuna was also shown a yellow card by the referee.

Curacao did not make any shots on target throughout the first half. However, the team performed disciplined defensively, succeeding in stopping Ecuador from scoring.

As both teams need a win to keep their chances of advancing from the group stage alive, the second half is expected to be more competitive.
