Youth Caught Using Stolen Vehicle for Theft in Sarlahi

Rautahat. A curious and unusual incident related to theft has come to light in Sarlahi. The incident took a new turn when a youth who went to steal was caught while using a stolen vehicle for the theft. A youth has been arrested on the charge of stealing a mobile phone and cash from the house of local Bijay Yadav in Pratitol, Barahathawa Municipality-3 of the district on Friday morning around 4 am. After stealing from Bijay's house, he was also trying to enter Manoj Sahani's house nearby and steal. During that time, the homeowner's wife saw him and raised an alarm. Based on the alertness and information of the local residents, the police took into custody the accused Juman Miyan, 18, a resident of Bagmati Municipality-6, Sarlahi. The most interesting aspect of the incident is the vehicle he used for the theft. It has been revealed that the arrested Miyan used the pickup vehicle with number Madhesh Province 04-001 Cha 0367 for stealing. However, the police have stated that during the investigation, it was found that the said vehicle was also stolen earlier. According to SP DSP Ved Prasad Gautam, the recovered pickup vehicle matches the description of a vehicle that went missing from the jurisdiction of the Harivan Area Police Office on Jestha 19. The police have further investigated how and with whose involvement the vehicle was stolen.
