US President Trump Expresses Dissatisfaction with Israeli PM Netanyahu on Lebanon Issue

Paris. US President Donald Trump has become dissatisfied with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the Lebanon issue.

 He stated that Netanyahu should behave more responsibly on the subject of Lebanon. Trump, who has been expressing dissatisfaction with Israel's policies in recent months, has publicly expressed his disappointment with Netanyahu.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Trump criticized Netanyahu. 'If I weren't there, today's Israel wouldn't exist either, because no other American president would have taken the steps I did,' he said. He added, 'My relationship with Bibi has always been good, but now Bibi must become more responsible on the Lebanon issue.' Netanyahu is nicknamed 'Bibi' in Israel.

In recent months, there have been disagreements between Trump and Netanyahu on some issues. According to the US side, Israel's ongoing attacks against Hezbollah in Lebanon complicated US efforts to reach an agreement with Iran. Iran has been insisting that Lebanon's situation must be included in any ceasefire or peace agreement.

However, Netanyahu has tried to avoid public confrontation with Trump. Responding to the US-Iran agreement on Monday, he said, 'President Trump and I do not agree on some issues. But the responsibility for Israel's security interests is mine, and it must be pursued prudently.'
