Lumbini Province Allocates NPR 5.52 Billion for Local Levels in FY 2083/84

Butwal. The Lumbini Province government has allocated a total of NPR 5.52 billion for local levels to be transferred in the upcoming fiscal year 2083/084. Minister of Economic Affairs and Planning Dhanendra Karki provided this information while presenting the budget in the Provincial Assembly.

The provincial government has stated that it has arranged grants and revenue sharing under various headings to make local levels more empowered and capable.

Allocated for local level empowerment is NPR 1.41 billion 12.5 million, estimated amount to be transferred through revenue sharing is NPR 1.45 billion, complementary grant is NPR 584 million, and for targeted year special programs NPR 20 million, conditional grant (equalization) of NPR 960 million has been allocated.
