Indian Air Force Transport Plane Crashes in Jorhat, Assam

Assam. An Indian Air Force 'transport' plane has crashed in Jorhat, Assam state of India. The AN-32 plane crashed while attempting to land at Rowriah Airbase in Jorhat on Saturday morning.

According to Indian media, the plane lost control and crashed while attempting to land at the airbase. The plane caught fire immediately after the crash and broke into two pieces.

This plane was mainly used for transporting soldiers and military equipment. It is suspected that the pilot of the plane may have lost his life in the accident, although this has not been officially confirmed.
