Humla: Excavator Accident Claims Driver's Life

Simkot. The driver died on the spot in an excavator accident in Barai of Sarkegad Rural Municipality-6, Humla. The driver died on the spot when the excavator overturned while digging a road on Thursday night, said Vishnu Shrestha, Inspector of the District Police Office, Humla. The driver, Krishan Rawat, approximately 25 years old, originally from Dailekh and currently residing in Bardiya, died on the spot when the excavator fell about 50 meters below the road while digging the road at 12:00 AM on Thursday night, informed Shrestha, Information Officer and Inspector of the District Police Office. As soon as information was received at the District Police Office, an investigation team led by Inspector Jang Bahadur Singh from the District Police Office went towards the incident, said Information Officer Shrestha. The team from Sarkegad Police Post reached the spot immediately after the incident occurred.
