Humla District Hospital Launches Adolescent-Friendly Service

Humla. Adolescent-friendly service has been operated at Humla District Hospital. The hospital has started this service from last Wednesday under outpatient service.

According to the head of the Health Service Office, Dr. Umakant Tiwari, this service has been started targeting children aged nine to nineteen years in the district. Ten people received the service on Wednesday and Thursday.

Under the said service, adolescents will also be provided with counseling on menstruation and problems during menstruation and their diagnosis, use of temporary family planning methods, abortion, complex physical problems arising from abortion, mental and reproductive health.
