Police Seize Eight Illegal Single-Barrel Shotguns in Myagdi Jungle

Myagdi. Police have recovered a large quantity of illegal weapons hidden in the jungle in रघुगङ्गा Rural Municipality, Myagdi.

 A special police team deployed from the temporary police post Chimkhola under the District Police Office, Myagdi, recovered eight illegal single-barrel shotguns on Wednesday.

According to the police, the unlicensed shotguns were found hidden in the Fedivan jungle in Ward No. 7 of रघुगङ्गा Rural Municipality, Myagdi. Acting on information about suspicious weapons being kept in the jungle, the police team reached the spot and took the shotguns into custody in accordance with procedure. All the recovered weapons have now been kept safely at the temporary police post Chimkhola.

According to Sagar Timilsina, Police Inspector at the District Police Office, Myagdi, this success has been achieved as part of the police's campaign to control illegal weapons within the district. Due to the police's active efforts against the smuggling and storage of illegal weapons in Myagdi district, the total number of shotguns recovered so far has reached 150.

It has not yet been revealed who hid these weapons in the jungle and for what purpose.
