Koshi Province Allocates NPR 3.1 Billion for Education and Social Sectors

Biratnagar. Koshi Province government has allocated 3 billion 10 crore rupees budget in education and social sector. Koshi Province Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning, Bidur Kumar Linghthep, stated this today while presenting the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84. He stated that 7 crore for capable daughter program, 16 crore 50 lakh for disability prevention and protection, 1 crore for intellectually disabled and autistic children, 16 crore for guaranteeing sign language rights, 1 crore for sign language resource class, and 10 crore for starting education with digital boards in 100 wards schools have been allocated. Similarly, astrology, Vastu, and tantric methods will be studied. The provincial government has allocated a budget of 20 crore for Manmohan Technical University and has announced to start medical science studies in Dhankuta.

The provincial government has allocated 23 crore for the development of the sports sector. 5 crore for the construction of Baijanath Cricket Stadium, and 27 crore rupees have also been allocated to research indigenous knowledge, skills, and technology present in the community.
