Koshi Province Government Presents Budget of NPR 40.44 Billion for Upcoming Fiscal Year

Biratnagar. The Koshi Province Government has presented a budget of NPR 40.44 billion for the upcoming fiscal year. The budget of this size was presented by the Province Government's Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning, Bidur Kumar Lingthep.

Of this, NPR 13.97 billion is for current expenditure, NPR 20.75 billion for capital expenditure, NPR 150 million for financial arrangements, and NPR 5.56 billion for financial transfer. This budget is 12.74 percent higher than the current fiscal year's.

Minister Lingthep mentioned that the sources to bear this expenditure include NPR 5.50 billion from internal revenue, NPR 12.87 billion from revenue sharing, NPR 9.12 billion from federal financial equalization, NPR 5.95 billion from conditional grants, NPR 640 million from complementary grants, NPR 550 million from special grants, NPR 410 million from royalty receipts, NPR 200 million from direct payments, and the remaining deficit of NPR 5 billion will be covered from cash reserves.
