Six Metropolitan Cities Receive NPR 11.71 Billion Grant from Federal Government

Kathmandu. Six metropolitan cities have received grants of NPR 11.71 billion from the federal government. According to the details of inter-governmental financial transfer for the fiscal year 2083/84 published by the Ministry of Finance, these metropolitan cities have received a grant of NPR 11.71 billion and 91 lakh.

Among the metropolitan cities, Pokhara has received the largest grant from the federal government. According to the details, Pokhara has received a grant of NPR 3.18 billion and 90 lakh. This includes equalization grant of NPR 49 crore 67 lakh, conditional grant of NPR 2.61 billion and 91 lakh, complementary grant of NPR 5 crore 50 lakh, and special grant of NPR 1 crore 82 lakh.

Kathmandu Metropolitan City has received a grant of NPR 2.27 billion and 88 lakh. Of this, NPR 1.60 billion and 18 lakh is conditional grant, while NPR 67 crore 70 lakh is equalization grant. Kathmandu has not received special and complementary grants.

Chitwan's Bharatpur Metropolitan City has received a grant of NPR 2.05 billion and 17 lakh. This includes conditional grant of NPR 1.61 billion and 7 lakh, and equalization grant of NPR 39 crore 65 lakh. Similarly, it has received a complementary grant of NPR 2 crore 50 lakh and a special grant of NPR 1 crore 95 lakh.

Birgunj Metropolitan City has received a grant of NPR 1.98 billion and 9 lakh. Of this, NPR 1.60 billion and 67 lakh is conditional grant, NPR 35 crore 35 lakh is equalization grant, NPR 40 lakh is special grant, and NPR 1 crore 67 lakh is complementary grant.

Lalitpur Metropolitan City has received a grant of NPR 1.14 billion and 59 lakh. Of this, NPR 76 crore is conditional grant and NPR 38 crore 59 lakh is equalization grant. Lalitpur has not received special and complementary grants.

Biratnagar Metropolitan City has received a grant of NPR 1.07 billion and 28 lakh. Of this, NPR 73 crore 85 lakh is conditional grant and NPR 33 crore 43 lakh is equalization grant. Biratnagar has also not received special and complementary grants.
