Tender Called for Repair of Jayaram-Halesi Road Section

KATHMANDU. A tender has been called for the repair and maintenance of the busy and religiously important Jayaram–Halesi road section in Khotang, under the Pushpalal (Mid-Hills) Highway. The Pushpalal (Mid-Hills) Highway Project Office, Sitkha, Ramechhap, issued a notice on Wednesday calling for tenders for the restoration and regular maintenance of the said road section.

Earlier, on Ashad 26, the mayor of Halesi Tuwachung Municipality, Vimla Rai, had written a letter to the Highway Project Office requesting immediate repair of the Halesi–Jayaramghat road section.

In the letter sent by Mayor Rai, it was mentioned that approximately 7 lakh pilgrims and tourists who come to visit the world-famous religious site of Halesi Mahadev face difficulties in commuting due to the narrow and dilapidated road. It was also demanded to upgrade and repair the road as it directly affects the daily lives of the local residents of Khotang and Bhojpur, the transportation of essential goods, and overall socio-economic activities.

Considering the municipality's letter and the fragile condition of the road, the project office has published the first tender for the current fiscal year 2083/84. According to the published notice, eligible bidders can submit tenders by completing the necessary procedures for the repair work of the 'Jayaram–Halesi Road Section'.
