Police Chief Decorates 44 Promoted Officers

Kathmandu. Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki has decorated 44 promoted police officers with insignia. Inspector General Karki presented the insignia to them in a special ceremony organized at Nepal Police Headquarters on Friday.

According to the decision of the Government of Nepal, Prime Minister and Home Minister level dated Jestha 21, 2083, a total of 4 police Additional Superintendents of Police (SSP) were promoted, including 1 in the general category and 3 in the technical category. Similarly, by the decision of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Secretary level) of the same date, 13 police Superintendents of Police (SP) were promoted, including 1 in the general category and 12 in the technical category.

Other promotions included 16 technical Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP) and 14 technical Inspectors. Out of a total of 47 police officers promoted to various ranks, 44 were decorated on Friday. One technical Superintendent of Police and two technical Deputy Superintendents of Police among those promoted were absent from the ceremony as they are currently in Korea for training.

Addressing the insignia decoration ceremony, Inspector General of Police Karki congratulated all the promoted officers and wished them a successful tenure. He clarified that this promotion was based on the proper evaluation of the diligence, honesty, professional integrity, and unwavering commitment to service shown in the field of work. Stating that responsibilities have also increased with promotion, he instructed the police officers to perform their duties more creatively, accountably, and sensitively in the coming days.

Speaking on behalf of the promoted officers at the ceremony, Senior Superintendent of Police Amarendra Bahadur Singh pledged to be fully dedicated to the responsibilities received through promotion. He stated that he would work even better to achieve the organization's goals.

Additional Inspectors General of Police, Deputy Inspectors General of Police, senior police officers, as well as other police officers and jawans were present at the special ceremony.
