Avinash Basnet Elected President of Rastriya Swatantra Party Sindhuli

Makwanpur. Avinash Basnet has been elected as the president of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Sindhuli. After consensus could not be reached in the first district convention held on Saturday, elections were held for the post of president, other office bearers, and some members. 

According to the final results of the election, Basnet was elected president by securing 181 votes. His closest rival Brij Bahadur Bamjan (Ashok) received 88 votes, while Karn Bahadur Karki received 4 votes.

Ramchandra Adhikari was elected vice-president with 103 votes, while his competitors Sagar Khatri received 92 votes and Dilipjung Thapa received 66 votes. Lalprasad Devkota (LP) has been victorious in the post of secretary with 186 votes. His rival Rom Bahadur Devkota (Subas) had received 71 votes. Dineshprasad Sapkota (Motu) was elected to the post of joint secretary with 130 votes, while his closest competitor Ramesh Khatri received 116 votes.

Divas Pahadi was elected as an open member and Kumar Rasaili as a Dalit member. Suryakumari Gautam and Sunita Gajurel were elected unopposed in the women member category.
