Television Actress Shilpa Shinde Faces Backlash for False Sexual Harassment Allegation Admission

Mumbai. The 'All India Cine Workers Association' has objected to a recent sensational revelation by television actress Shilpa Shinde.

Speaking in a podcast by comedian Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachiyaa, Shilpa admitted that she had falsely accused the producer of the popular TV show 'Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain' of sexual harassment.

After this statement became public, the association has demanded that Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis intervene in the matter and take legal action. On the other hand, amidst intense criticism on social media, Shilpa has shared a video responding to the critics.

The association has issued an official statement expressing deep sorrow and disappointment over Shilpa Shinde's confession. According to the association, such actions can have serious and negative consequences in society.

The association stated that a false accusation of sexual harassment can cause irreparable damage to an innocent person's honor, family, children, career, and mental state. The statement said that this would forever tarnish the image of the concerned person in society.

The association has appealed to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to conduct a fair and serious investigation into the entire matter. The organization demands that if it is proven that someone has made a false accusation intentionally or systematically, strict action should be taken according to the law.

The association expressed concern that when an established person files a false case for their own benefit, the credibility of real victims waiting for justice also comes into question. This will make it even more difficult for people who are genuinely suffering harassment in Bollywood and the film industry to come forward with their stories.

Shilpa's response to critics: 'Let whoever can, do whatever they can'

Amidst continuous criticism and protest on social media, Shilpa Shinde defended herself by posting a new video on Instagram. Sharing a reel made by combining her pictures and videos, she wrote, 'Be a woman, always ready to say that whoever can, let them do whatever they can.'

In another post, Shilpa said that due to her habit of speaking clearly and truthfully in life, half the people have already moved away from her life.

In 2016, she had made serious allegations against the producer

Shilpa Shinde played the role of 'Angoori Bhabhi' in the popular TV show 'Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain' aired in 2015, which was greatly liked by the audience. However, a year later, in 2016, she suddenly left the show, filing a complaint of sexual harassment against the show's producers and makers.

In a recent podcast, revealing the inner secret of that old incident, Shilpa said, 'No one knew this until now. I am no longer afraid to speak the truth. I had filed a case of sexual harassment against my producers because I had no other option at that time. I did that to resolve the contract dispute and later came out of that situation with a mutual agreement.'

Claiming to come from a legal background, Shilpa stated that she took that step because the police themselves advised her to write serious allegations to register an FIR.
