Under the campaign, after extensive study, according to the suggestions of the Institute of Forest Science and experts related to forests and environment, 226,000 saplings of 38 species will be planted on 700 km of roads and highways, about 67 km of river and stream banks, and 125 hectares of open space in 29 public places in the city area, he said.

Chief Administrative Officer of Pokhara Metropolitan City Mukti Ram Aryal said that every city dweller must take the responsibility of conserving the saplings in front of them to make the Green Pokhara Clean Pokhara campaign meaningful.
