Four Dead in Separate Road Accidents Across Nepal

Kathmandu. Four people have died in separate road accidents in various places across the country. Two other people were injured in these accidents in Morang, Saptari, Chitwan, and Nawalparasi East.

In Morang, a pedestrian died after being hit by a city safari on the road at Laliya Chowk, Ward No. 2 of Dhanpalathan Rural Municipality, on Thursday afternoon. Police said that 55-year-old Umesh Mandal of the same place died after being hit by a city safari with registration number Province 1-02-004 Ha 5995, which was traveling from South Amahibariya to North Kursiya. The city safari driver has been taken into police custody.

Similarly, in Saptari, one person died when two motorcycles collided head-on on the road at Katti, Ward No. 5 of Bishnupur Rural Municipality, last night. Police said that 23-year-old Chhote Lal Yadav, a resident of Singiyoun, Ward No. 12 of Rajbiraj Municipality, the driver of the motorcycle with registration number Na 22 Pa 3285, died when the motorcycles with registration numbers BR 50-06288 and Na 22 Pa 3285 collided. The other motorcycle driver injured in the accident is undergoing treatment at the same hospital.

In Chitwan, a cyclist died on the spot after being hit by a bus on the road at Bijayanagar Chowk, Ward No. 16 of Bharatpur Metropolitan City. Police have taken the bus driver into custody and started an investigation.

Likewise, in Nawalparasi East, a person died when a motorcycle hit a parked truck on the road at Pragatinagar, Ward No. 14 of Devchuli Municipality. Police said that 51-year-old Omanarayan Gurau (Tharu), a resident of Ward No. 1 of Madhya Bindu Municipality, who was riding the motorcycle, died when the motorcycle with registration number Ga 10 Pa 2287 hit the truck with registration number Na 5 Kha 1757 on Thursday night. The injured motorcycle driver is undergoing treatment at the same hospital.

Police have stated that they are conducting necessary investigations into all these accidents.
