Lumbini Province Chief Minister Emphasizes Youth Role in Democracy, National Protection, and Social Transformation

Butwal. Lumbini Province Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya has stated that the role of youth is very important in the protection of democracy, preservation of nationality, and social transformation.

Inaugurating the Lumbini Province Level Youth Conference 2083 on Friday in Bhalubang, Chief Minister Acharya mentioned that youth have been prioritized in the policies and programs brought by the provincial government. He stated that the upcoming budget and plans will be formulated on the basis of the policies and programs, and youth-friendly programs will be made more effective.

Chief Minister Acharya informed that various programs will be conducted with the objective of orienting youth towards entrepreneurship and self-reliance. He also said that the provincial government is preparing to advance youth-targeted programs by prioritizing the digital sector. According to him, special attention will be given to developing entrepreneurship, creating employment, and promoting self-reliance by connecting youth with modern technology.

He urged the youth to be aware of their duties as well as their rights. He said that youth should play a more active role in social transformation, promotion of good governance, and building a prosperous society.

Chief Minister Acharya expressed confidence that if the energy, skills, and capabilities of the youth can be linked with development, the overall development of the province and the country will gain momentum. He said that programs connecting youth with production, innovation, and entrepreneurship will be further strengthened in the coming days.

Social Development Minister Janjay Timilsina informed that youth development programs will be conducted by prioritizing the education sector. He said that the provincial government's goal is to make youth capable, competitive, and self-reliant through quality education, skill development, and enhancement of leadership capacity.

At the program, Nepal Red Cross Society Lumbini Province President Krishna Pageni, UNICEF representative Riddhi Sharma, and others expressed their views on youth participation, leadership development, and social responsibility.
