Himalaya Airlines Launches Direct Flight Between Kathmandu and Shenzhen

Kathmandu. Nepal's only private international airline, Himalaya Airlines, has started a historic direct flight service between Nepal's capital, Kathmandu, and Shenzhen, famous as China's 'Silicon Valley'.

Himalaya Airlines has started two direct flights per week from Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, to Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport in Shenzhen. This is an important and historic achievement from the perspective of Nepal's civil aviation history and international air connectivity.

'Our historic Kathmandu-Shenzhen flight departed from Tribhuvan International Airport on June 04, 2026, at 09:59 PM Nepali local time with 98 passengers. On June 05, the flight landed at Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport in Shenzhen at 04:17 AM Shenzhen local time. Similarly, the Shenzhen-Kathmandu flight departed from Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport on June 05, 2026, at 06:12 AM Chinese local time with 157 passengers and landed in Kathmandu at 08:26 AM Nepali local time on the same day. The departure flight from Kathmandu to Shenzhen will be every Tuesday and Thursday, while the return flight from Shenzhen to Kathmandu will operate every Wednesday and Friday,' Himalaya Airlines said.
