Five Dead in Nepal Disasters in 24 Hours

Kathmandu. In the last 24 hours, 5 people have died in disaster incidents in various parts of the country. According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, five people died in Rautahat, Bara, Kapilvastu, and Rolpa.

11 other people were injured in disaster incidents in Makwanpur, Morang, Siraha, Parsa, Chitwan, Kapilvastu, Dang, Palpa, and Kanchanpur, informed Authority spokesperson Shanti Mahat. According to her, a woman, a boy, and a girl died from snakebites in Rautahat, Bara, and Kapilvastu. The authority's report, released today, states that two boys died after being swept away by a flash flood in Ratamata, Gangadev Rural Municipality, Rolpa.

According to spokesperson Mahat, in the last 24 hours, 25 disaster incidents occurred in various districts of the country, causing physical damage worth more than 6.3 million.
