Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal to Visit India on Formal Invitation of Indian Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar

Kathmandu. Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal will be on an official visit to India from Jestha 22 to 24 at the cordial invitation of Indian Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar.

This visit, which is taking place as part of the regular high-level visits exchanged between Nepal and India, is believed to further strengthen the historical and multifaceted bilateral relations between the two countries.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a press statement on Thursday, making public the schedule of Minister Khanal's official visit to India. During the visit, Foreign Minister Khanal will hold an official bilateral meeting with his Indian counterpart Dr. Jaishankar in New Delhi. The ministry stated that the foreign ministers of the two countries will hold in-depth discussions on various issues of mutual interest between Nepal and India.

The statement mentioned that discussions will focus particularly on cooperation in trade, investment, connectivity, energy sector, and further strengthening and expanding mutual relations between the peoples of the two countries. The ministry believes this visit will be an important link in taking the mutual cooperation and understanding between Nepal and India to new heights.

Foreign Minister Khanal is scheduled to return to Kathmandu on Jestha 24 after completing all the programs of the official visit.
