2,299 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, two thousand two hundred and ninety-nine drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules. Revenue of Rs 2,371,042 has been deposited into the state treasury from this.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, action has been taken against 119 people for consuming alcohol, 160 for illegal 'ride sharing', 134 for violating signal lights, and 118 for speeding.

Similarly, action has been taken against 114 for not following 'lane' discipline, 94 for honking in prohibited areas, 120 for 'parking' vehicles on the road shoulder, 144 for driving on one-way streets, and one thousand 296 for not following other traffic rules.
