Weather Forecast: Western Low-Pressure Line and Local Winds Affecting Nepal

Kathmandu. Currently, the upper atmosphere of Nepal is under the partial influence of the western low-pressure line and local winds, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has informed. As a result, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi and Bagmati provinces, are generally cloudy. Light rain with thunderstorms is occurring in some places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Lumbini and Karnali provinces. Today afternoon, the mountainous and hilly regions of the country will be generally cloudy, while the Terai regions will be partly cloudy. There is a possibility of thunderstorms with moderate rain in a few places in the mountainous and hilly regions of the country, and in one or two places in the Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces. Hot days are expected in the Terai regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. Tonight, the mountainous regions of the country will be generally cloudy, the hilly regions partly cloudy, and the Terai regions will be mostly clear. There is a possibility of light rain in a few places in the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi province, and in one or two places in the mountainous regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.
