Basbari Secondary School Wins Inter-School Futsal Tournament

Kathmandu. The title of the inter-school open futsal competition organized by Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward Number 4 has been won by Basbari Secondary School.

Basbari became the champion of the competition by defeating Saipal Academy by a wide margin of 4-1 in the final match held in Baluwatar on Tuesday.

Before reaching the final clash, Basbari had defeated Brooklyn International Secondary School by a heavy margin of 7-1 in the semi-finals. In another semi-final match, Saipal secured its place in the final by defeating Universal English School 3-2.

In the competition for third place, Brooklyn defeated Universal 1-0. A total of 16 schools participated in this knockout-based competition.

After the progressive competition, guests including Ward Chairman of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward Number 4, Dinesh Maharjan, presented trophies, medals, and certificates to the winning team and players. Vivek Magar of Basbari Secondary School, who performed excellently throughout the competition, was declared the best player. Similarly, Aditya Kumar Mishra of Saipal Academy received the award for the best goalkeeper.
