Baglung Police Arrest 6 Drivers for Drug Use

Baglung. The District Police Office Baglung has taken under control 5 drivers and 1 co-driver for driving public transport vehicles after consuming drugs (lapshe).

They were arrested on June 22 at 11:00 AM during regular checking on the road section at Maldhunga, Ward No. 01, Baglung Municipality. A joint team of the District Police Office Baglung, District Traffic Office, and Maldhunga Police Post tested public transport drivers and co-drivers using the 'THC' drug consumption kit.

The police stated that they were taken under control after it was found that they were driving vehicles after consuming drugs during the test. The arrested individuals were presented at the Baglung District Court on June 23, and with permission for a seven-day extension from the court, necessary investigation is underway.

Those arrested include Ganesh Sharma, Dhakaram Tiwari, Shankar Sharma, Vishal Kisan, Sunil Sarki, and Avinas Sarki (co-driver).
