Weather Forecast: Western Low-Pressure Line and Local Winds Affecting Nepal

Kathmandu. Currently, the upper atmosphere's western low-pressure line and local winds are influencing Nepal, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology informed.

Currently, Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces, along with the Himalayan and hilly regions of the country, are experiencing generally cloudy skies, while the rest of the country has partly cloudy skies. Light to moderate rain with thunderstorms is occurring in a few places in Koshi Province.

This afternoon, the Himalayan and hilly regions of the country will be generally cloudy, while the Terai regions will be partly cloudy. There is a possibility of moderate rain with thunderstorms in a few places in the Himalayan and hilly regions, and in one or two places in the Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces. There is a possibility of hot days in Madhesh Province and the Terai of Koshi Province.

Tonight, the Himalayan regions of the country will be generally cloudy, the hilly regions will be partly cloudy, and the Terai regions will be mostly clear. Light rainfall is possible in one or two places in the Himalayan and hilly regions of Koshi, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in the Himalayan regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, the Department informed.
