MP Asks PM for Proof of Nepal's Encroachment on Indian Land

Kathmandu. A Member of Parliament from the ruling Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) itself has raised questions about Prime Minister Balen Shah's statement in the House of Representatives regarding the Nepal-India border. Ashika Tamang, a Member of Parliament elected from Dhading Constituency-1, has demanded that facts and evidence be made public if Nepal has encroached on Indian land.

Addressing the Prime Minister on social media on Monday, she said, 'Prime Minister, I heartily request you to make public the facts and evidence regarding which parts of India's territory Nepal has encroached upon. Because until today, I, along with most Nepalis, have only heard and understood that India has encroached on Nepal's land. But after the views you expressed in the House of Representatives, a situation has arisen where we have to understand that Nepal has also encroached on India's land.'

Tamang requested that the proof and facts of which part of India Nepal encroached upon, when, and how, be made public.
