Opposition Parties to Obstruct Parliament Session

Kathmandu. Opposition parties have decided to obstruct the House of Representatives meeting on Monday as well. Opposition parties, in a meeting held at the parliamentary party office of the main opposition party Nepali Congress, have decided to surround the well of the House. Urmila Thapaliya 'Sita', a Congress MP who participated in the meeting, informed that the meeting of the main opposition party Nepali Congress, opposition parties CPN UML, Nepali Communist Party, Labour Culture Party, and Rastriya Prajatantra Party decided to surround the well demanding clarification from Prime Minister Balen Shah regarding his statement in Sunday's meeting that Nepal has also encroached upon India's border. "The Prime Minister has responded to the question of the MPs in the House of Representatives meeting yesterday regarding attacking the country's borders," she told Ratopati. "A decision has been made to surround the well demanding clarification in the House regarding that." Leaders including Congress Parliamentary Party Leader Bhishma Raj Angdambe, UML Parliamentary Party Leader Rambadur Thapa Badal, Chief Whip of Nepali Communist Party Yuvraj Dulal, Chief Whip of RPP Khusbu Oli, Aaren Rai of Labour Culture Party, Dhurbaraj Rai, Deputy Leader of UML Parliamentary Party Padma Aryal, Chief Whip of UML Ain Mahar, Chief Whip of Congress Basana Thapa, Whip of Congress Nishkal Rai and other leaders participated in the meeting. The opposition has been obstructing the House of Representatives meeting since the beginning of this session.
