Tamil Film 'Karuppu' Earns Over 300 Crores in 15 Days, Actor Suriya Gifts Cars to Crew

Hyderabad. The Tamil fantasy action film 'Karuppu' is currently earning aggressively at the box office. 

This film, starring South Indian film superstar Suriya and actress Trisha Krishnan, proved to be a blockbuster within a few days of its release.

Released in cinemas on May 15, this action film has already grossed over 300 crore rupees worldwide in just 15 days of its run. With this, the film has succeeded in being included in the list of the biggest superhit films of this year. 

Actor Suriya is very excited and happy with the historic success of the film. His happiness can be gauged from the fact that after the film's success, he has gifted expensive cars to his main technical team.

Suriya gifted new 'Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition' cars to the film's cinematographer GK Vishnu and music composer Sai Abhyankar. The price of this car in the Indian market is said to be between 27 lakh to 30 lakh rupees. After receiving the car as a gift, music composer Abhyankar posted a picture on social media and thanked Suriya. Similarly, cinematographer GK Vishnu also took a picture with the car he received from Suriya and wrote on social media, 'Just God's grace. Thank you Suriya sir. You have a huge heart.'

'Karuppu', directed by RJ Balaji, has proven to be very commercially successful at the box office in just 15 days. According to various reports, while the film has crossed the 300 crore mark worldwide, its gross collection in India alone is around 204 crore and net collection is around 177 crore rupees. 

The story of this film revolves around a guardian deity who takes human form as a lawyer to end the corruption rooted within the country's judicial system. Suriya and Trisha's lead performances in the film are winning the hearts of the audience.
