Actress Malika Mahat Joins Film 'Abaat Aama 2'

Kathmandu. Actress Malika Mahat has been cast in the film 'Abaat Aama 2' to be directed by Chandra Pant.

The production team has signed her for the lead role. With Malika's signing, all three heroines for the film are now finalized. Previously, Rista Gurung and Nikita Acharya had been signed as actresses. 

On Sunday, director and producer Chandra Pant decided to cast Mahat in the film. With Malika's entry, discussions have begun about her pairing with Paul, as this pair is a hit in music videos.

Paul Shah, Aakash Shrestha, Sabin Shrestha, Vipana Thapa, Pradip Rawat, Saigrace Pokharel, Gajit Bist, and Naren Khadka have already been signed for the film.

The story and screenplay for this film have been written by director Pant himself. This film, which is preparing to go on floors in a few weeks, will be released on the upcoming Dashain, i.e., from October 17. Even as this film was being announced, its distribution rights in some countries have already been sold. The production side has informed that this film has already sold out in America and Canada, where distributor Doko Films has purchased it for a hefty sum.

In Nepal, this film will be distributed by RR Films, while OSR has acquired the digital rights. Karan Singh Rasaili is the production manager for this film, which will be produced under the banner of Arya Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. This is a sequel to the film 'Abaat Aama', which was released last year. That film had collected approximately 14 crore at the box office last year.
