Opposition Demands Clarification on Border Encroachment Claims

Kathmandu. The main opposition party Nepali Congress has demanded information on where Nepal has encroached on India's border.

In the House of Representatives meeting on Sunday, in response to the MPs' questions, Prime Minister Balen Shah stated that not only India has encroached on Nepal's land, but Nepal has also encroached on India's border. Congress Chief Whip Basana Thapa has demanded information on where Nepal has encroached on India's border.

'Prime Minister said that not only India, but Nepal has also encroached on India's border,' said Chief Whip Thapa, 'Where has Nepal encroached? We need that information.'

She also demanded that if there is no encroached place, the Prime Minister's statement should be removed from the parliamentary record.
