Madhuri Dixit Falls Victim to AI-Generated Deepfake Video

Mumbai. Bollywood's established actress Madhuri Dixit has become a victim of the wrong use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, i.e., 'deepfake'. A video, claiming to be of Madhuri Dixit, is going viral rapidly on social media recently, in which she is seen in a revealing black outfit.

After the video was released, many users started making various negative comments about her clothes and attire. However, the fact that the video is completely fake has come out. Indian journalist Jaideep Pandey has clarified on social media, claiming that the video is a fake video created with the help of AI.

After many users continuously shared this video, social media X, by issuing a community note on a user's post, has certified that this video is completely AI-generated and misleading.

Recently, many famous celebrities from the art sector are becoming victims of AI-generated fake content. Earlier, actresses Rashmika Mandanna, Katrina Kaif, and Kirti Suresh have also been victims of similar deepfake videos. Just recently, South Indian film actress Rukmini Vasanth expressed her anger after AI-generated fake pictures and videos went viral in her name.

Earlier, in November 2023, when a deepfake video of South actress Rashmika Mandanna was released, a big debate started worldwide about the misuse of this technology. In that video, Rashmika was seen entering a lift in a black outfit.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the original video belonged to British-Indian social media influencer Zara Patel. By using AI deepfake technology, Zara's face was removed and Rashmika's face was added.
