27 Public Enterprises Profitable in FY 2081/82, 16 Incur Losses

Kathmandu. In the fiscal year 2081/82, out of 45 existing public enterprises, 27 are in profit, 16 are in loss, and 2 are in a closed state. 

This was mentioned in the economic survey of fiscal year 2082/083 presented by Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle in parliament on Wednesday. 

In the previous fiscal year, 28 were in profit, 15 were in loss, and 2 were in a closed state. 

As of Asar 2082, the total investment of the Government of Nepal in public enterprises, including share investment of 3 kharba 70 arab 25 crore and loan investment of 4 kharba 28 arab 31 crore, amounts to a total of 7 kharba 98 arab 56 crore, according to the economic survey.
