Government Blacklists 14 Construction Companies for Non-Performance

Kathmandu. The government has blacklisted 14 construction entrepreneurs and suppliers who did not work according to the agreement and left the contract unfinished.

 The Public Procurement Monitoring Office under the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers issued a notice on Wednesday stating that those companies have been blacklisted for a certain period.

According to the decision of the Public Procurement Monitoring Office on Jestha 12, this action has been taken in accordance with sub-section (1) of section 63 of the Public Procurement Act, 2063. The blacklisted companies will not be able to participate in any procurement process or contract work of public bodies for the specified period.

 Among those facing action are Raman Construction Pvt. Ltd. and India's Patel Engineering Limited.
