Three More Arrested in Reshmika Pariyar Murder Case

Khotang. Three more people have been arrested on Tuesday on charges of involvement in the murder case of 27-year-old Reshmika Pariyar of Batase, Diprung Chuichumma Rural Municipality-4.

Those arrested include 28-year-old Hemen Pariyar of Batase, Chuichumma-4, 25-year-old Deepak Shrestha of Chitapokhari, and Deepak Rai of Batase, whose age is unknown. Reshmika was found dead on the night of Bhadra 30.

District Police Office Information Officer Police Inspector Nirajan Basnet informed that the three were taken into custody and investigation has been initiated based on the order of the High Court Okhaldhunga to further investigate the incident.

Earlier, the police had arrested a 16-year-old local teenager on Asauj 1 on suspicion of involvement in Reshmika's murder case and sent him to jail for judicial custody by order of the District Court.

The family members had filed a named complaint at the High Court Okhaldhunga on Chaitra 21, mentioning the names of three more people. Based on that complaint, the court had ordered the District Police Office on Chaitra 28 to further investigate the incident.
