US Deputy Secretary of State to Visit Nepal

Kathmandu. After the formation of the government under the leadership of National Independent Party (NSP) senior leader Balendra Shah on Chaitra 13, another high-level visit from America is going to happen. US Deputy Secretary of State Sara B. Rogers is coming to Nepal for a three-day visit on Jestha 16.

Sara is said to stay in Nepal until the 18th. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs source, Sara is said to have high-level meetings including Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Baghel.

Earlier, on Baishakh 7, US Department of State's Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs, Sameer Pal Kapoor, had visited Nepal. During his stay in Nepal, he met with Foreign Minister Khanal and Finance Minister Baghel. After that, on Baishakh 17, US President Donald Trump's special envoy for South and Central Asia and US Ambassador to India, Sergio Gor, also came to Nepal.

He tested a cargo drone at Everest Base Camp. On the same day that Deputy Secretary of State Sara returns to her country, NSP Chairman Lamichhane is said to go on a visit to India.
