Cabinet Meeting Sets Minimum Support Price for Paddy for FY 2083/84

Kathmandu. The cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to set the minimum support price for paddy for the upcoming fiscal year.

Informing about the decisions of the meeting, government spokesperson and Minister of Education, Sashmit Pokharel, informed that the cabinet has determined the minimum support price for paddy for the fiscal year 2083/84.  

Accordingly, the price for coarse paddy has been set at 3,660 rupees per quintal and for medium paddy at 3,860 rupees. The spokesperson Pokharel informed that the support price has been set in a timely manner with the objective of ensuring that farmers receive a fair price for their produce.
