Youth Rescued Unconscious with NPR 118,000 Cash Near Eastern Checkpoint

Jhapa. Police have rescued a youth unconscious with NPR 118,000 cash near the bus park in Mechinagar Municipality-6, the eastern checkpoint. The team from the Area Police Office, Kankadbhitta, rescued Hari Thapa, 32, of Rampur Rural Municipality-2, Palpa, who was found lying unconscious on the road around 6 PM on Saturday after consuming excessive alcohol, informed District Police Office Spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police Khagendra Bahadur Khadka.

Immediately after rescue, Thapa was taken to Amda Hospital in Dhulabari for treatment. Spokesperson Khadka stated that Thapa, who was discharged from the hospital after treatment, has not yet come into contact with the police.

The cash recovered from Thapa has been kept safe at the Area Police Office, Kankadbhitta, informed Spokesperson Khadka. The District Police Office stated that attempts to contact him on his mobile number have not been successful so far.

The police have stated that the amount will be handed over to him as soon as he comes into contact. Thapa, who returned to Nepal from India, had already bought a ticket to go to Kathmandu by night bus via the Nepal-India bus service on Saturday. He missed his bus after becoming intoxicated.
