Weather Forecast: Rain Expected in Several Provinces, Heatwave in Tarai Regions

Kathmandu. Currently, a westerly wind, local wind, and a low-pressure area near the eastern part of Nepal are influencing the weather, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated.

Due to this influence, Koshi Province and other hilly and mountainous regions are generally cloudy, Madhesh Province has partly cloudy skies, and the rest of the Terai regions are mostly clear. Moderate rainfall with thunderstorms is occurring in some places in Gandaki Province and one or two places in Sudurpaschim Province.

This afternoon, Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces will be generally cloudy. Madhesh Province and other hilly and mountainous regions of the remaining provinces will be partly cloudy. The rest of the Terai regions will remain mostly clear.

Moderate rainfall is expected in some places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, in a few places in the Terai regions of Madhesh Province and Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki Provinces, and in one or two places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Lumbini and Karnali Provinces. Heavy rainfall is also possible in one or two places in the hilly regions of Gandaki Province. Hot days are expected in the hilly regions of Sudurpaschim and Lumbini Provinces, and heatwaves are expected in the Terai regions.

Tonight, Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces will be generally cloudy. The hilly and mountainous regions of the remaining provinces will be partly cloudy. Moderate rainfall with thunderstorms is possible in some places in Koshi and Madhesh Provinces, in a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces, and in the hilly regions of Karnali Province. Heavy rainfall is also possible in one or two places in the hilly and Terai regions of Koshi Province.
