Nepal Defeats USA by 122 Runs in Cricket World Cup League 2

Kathmandu. In the final match of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2, Nepal has registered a spectacular 122-run victory over USA. Chasing a huge target of 317 runs set by Nepal at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, USA was all out for 195 runs in 41.2 overs. For USA, Sanjay Krishnamurthy scored 56 runs, while for Nepal, Sandeep Lamichhane took 3 wickets, and Gulshan Jha and Lalit Rajbanshi took 2-2 wickets each. Earlier, batting first after losing the toss, Nepal scored 317 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 50 overs. Ishan Pandey contributed the highest 84 runs for Nepal, while Dipendra Singh Airee scored 59 and Asif Sheikh scored 43 runs. This victory is considered very important for Nepal to finish in the top four in terms of qualifying for the 2027 World Cup.
