Karnali Corridor Reopens After Border Dispute Resolution

Surkhet. The Karnali Corridor, which was closed after the Humla Bajura border dispute, has been opened for now. The corridor was opened after an agreement was reached with the police administration on various 5 demands.

Transportation has been operating after an agreement was reached between the local Himali Youth Club, the village municipality, political party representatives, and the police administration.

The agreement also includes a warning that if the 5 demands are not addressed through legal process within 24 hours, protests and indefinite transportation closure will resume.

Gagansingh Bhat, Information Officer and Police Inspector at the District Police Office Bajura, told Ratopati that transportation resumed around 12 PM.
